🌟 Overview
Threads of Inclusion is a community-wide quilt auction and traveling exhibition celebrating creativity, inclusion, and community connection.
Throughout November 2025, quilts will be displayed at partner venues across Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, while bidding takes place online all month long.
All funds raised directly support essential services and advocacy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham.
🧶 About the Event
This year’s Threads of Inclusion brings together local quilters, community organizations, and artists with developmental disabilities from The Arc’s ARCessible Art Program.
Each quilt embodies a story of care, collaboration, and creativity — whether crafted by a lifelong quilter or an artist discovering fabric art for the first time.
Many of our Arc participants made their quilts in inclusive quilting sessions led by volunteers, with generous support from:
-
Lynette Slabaugh
-
The Women’s Service and Friendship Circle of Harrisonburg Mennonite
-
Patchwork Plus
