Hours: Primary work hours are daytime. As a leadership role, this position may occasionally require evening or weekend hours to provide supervision, ensure service continuity, or address operational needs.

Position Summary
The Service Coordinator Lead is a key operational leader responsible for supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and ensuring effective day-to-day service delivery across community-based programs. This role places a strong emphasis on staff supervision, scheduling coordination, and real-time problem-solving to maintain consistency and quality of care. Working closely with HR and the Director of Transportation and Scheduling, this position plays a central role in workforce coordination, staff accountability, and service continuity across approximately 20 agency vehicles and multiple service settings. While this role supports compliance efforts and helps ensure services meet and exceed DBHDS licensure and DD Waiver standards, the primary focus is on leadership, supervision, and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
DSP Supervision & Team Leadership
● Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
● Partner with HR on employee relations, performance improvement, and accountability processes
● Foster a positive, supportive team culture that promotes consistency, engagement, and retention
● Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and supervision to meet participant needs
Scheduling & Operational Coordination
● Collaborate daily with the Director of Transportation and Scheduling to address call-outs, coverage gaps, and scheduling adjustments
● Support real-time problem-solving to ensure continuity of services across the community and in-home settings
● Assist in aligning staffing patterns with participant needs and service requirements
● Contribute to the efficient coordination of transportation across approximately 20 agency vehicles
Service Delivery & ISP Oversight (training provided)
● Support DSPs in implementing high-quality, person-centered services aligned with Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
● Oversee ISP implementation, documentation, and service consistency
● Participate in ISP meetings, quarterly reviews, and service planning as
needed
Quality & Compliance Support
● Support systems that ensure services consistently meet and exceed
DBHDS licensure and DD Waiver standards
● Complete quarterly reports in a timely manner
● Monitor service quality, health, and safety in collaboration with leadership
● Assist with audits, annuals, documentation reviews, and continuous quality improvement efforts
● Serve on the quarterly Risk Management/QI Committee
Family & Caregiver Engagement
● Serve as a point of contact for families and caregivers regarding services
and support
● Support and participate in Parent/Caregiver meetings
● Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, providers, and
community partners
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field required
● Demonstrated experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, and operational problem-solving
● Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, especially HR and scheduling/transportation
● Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
● Proficiency with electronic records and cloud-based systems
● Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between service locations (mileage reimbursement provided)
● Prior supervisory and scheduling experience is required; The Arc provides comprehensive onboarding and high-quality training to equip this role with the knowledge and tools needed to meet organizational expectations and DBHDS licensure standards
