Christmas in July
Christmas may still be months away, but the season of giving can start now.
This July, The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham is inviting our community to help us get a head start on three meaningful efforts that support our participants, programs, and essential services. Whether you choose to sponsor an event, make a donation, volunteer your time, commission artwork, or help spread the word, your support helps create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be included, celebrated, and connected in our community.

Lanterns & Lace
Give the gift of celebration.
Lanterns & Lace is The Arc’s formal banquet and board meeting, created as a special evening for our participants, families, staff, board members, and community supporters. Our participants have been asking for a formal, prom-like celebration, and we want to make this event feel memorable, welcoming, and accessible for everyone.
We are seeking sponsorships, volunteers, and in-kind donations to help cover the cost of food, music, decorations, photography, and other event needs.

Santa Walk ’N Roll
Give the gift of community.
Santa Walk ’N Roll is The Arc’s festive holiday celebration in downtown Harrisonburg. Participants, families, friends, businesses, and community members are invited to dress in Santa, elf, and holiday outfits as we walk and roll together in celebration of inclusion.
Sponsorships for Santa Walk ’N Roll help support The Arc’s essential services. We are also accepting in-kind donations such as prizes, services, swag, and items for participant drawstring bags. Early registration is open for anyone who wants to start building a team for December 5.

ARCessible Art
Give the gift of creativity.
ARCessible Art creates opportunities for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities to create, collaborate, exhibit, and be recognized as part of the larger arts community.
This July, ARCessible Artists are getting a head start on Christmas crafts, ornaments, and artwork for the holiday season. These pieces will be available through our December display at Horizon Gifts. We are also accepting commissions from individuals, families, and businesses who would like custom ornaments or artwork from ARCessible Artists.
Proceeds support the ARCessible Art Program as we work toward making it more sustainable through community support, sales, donations, and volunteer involvement.
