
Candidate Forum Addresses Disability Concerns
Monday October 11, 2021, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, Virtual, Zoom Meeting Link: https://bit.ly/3mdIqZq The Arc of Augusta and The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham will be hosting a Virtual Candidate Forum Monday, October 11, 2021 from 6-8 PM, inviting all area candidates for Virginia House of Delegates on the ballot for the 2021 General Election. This includes representatives for House of Delegates districts 20, 24, 25, 26 and 58. Confirmed candidates are John Avoli, Randall Wolfe (HD-20), Sam Soghor (HD-24), Chris Runion, Jennifer Kitchen (HD-25), Tony Wilt (HD-26), Bill Helsley (HD-26), Sara Ratcliffe (HD-58) and Rob Bell (HD-58). This nonpartisan event will focus on creating an open, informative space for all individuals, families, and care providers in the area to hear candidates share their own thoughts on ensuring A Life Like Yours (ALLY) for Virginians with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Join us to express your unique concerns as either a person with a developmental disability or someone who identifies as a caregiver, ally, or friend of the I/DD community.
